Kirjeitä saarelta

Autioituneen saaren tyhjät, hylätyt talot. Metsittyneet puutarhat, siellä täällä vilahtelevat eläimet tarkkailevat uteliaana vierasta, kaukaa tullutta. Huoneet kuiskivat tarinoita, elettyä elämää. Haluan sukeltaa sisään, nähdä ja ymmärtää. Kuulla ilon, tuntea surun.

Kuva hälvenee, paperi on jo kellastunut, murenee käsiin. Pohjoistuuli avaa narisevan ulko-oven, en halua lähteä.

During the last few years I have been playing with the compositions of organic shapes made of oxidized silver in my UNKNOWN PATH series. In this collection these dark grey silhouettes are obtaining more individual character, they are getting coloured and ornamented. My shady path has lead me into a blooming garden.

the unknown path leads to the land of mysterious shadows
reflections, glimmers of light
murmur of the wind, rustle in silence

tuntematon polku johdattaa salaperäisten varjojen maahan
heijastuksia, välähdyksiä valosta
tuulen kohinaa, rasahduksia hiljaisuudessa 

I thought there is no life in this desert.
